Nintendo debuts Zapper
Exactly one year after the initial release of the Wii game console, Nintendo today released the Zapper, which the company claims enables arcade-style gaming at home.
The Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers attach to the Zapper to create a device that resembles the look of a gun. The device is selling for $20 and includes Link's Crossbow Training, a software package that is designed to “demonstrate the full range of fun for the Wii Zapper,” Nintendo said.
Nintendo plans to add more controller devices to the Wii over the course of next year, including the Wii Wheel and Wii Balance Board.
