Redmond (WA) - Tomorrow's weekly addition to the Xbox Live Arcade will include the 100th casual game to be added to the service.
This week, Microsoft will add the games Shrek 'N Roll and Screwjumper to the XBL Arcade, bumping the total number of titles available to 100. That's in line with the software giant's prediction to reach the 100-game mark by the end of the year.
Worldwide, the top five Arcade downloads have been Aegis Wing, UNO, Texas Hold 'Em, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, and Bankshot Billiards, in that order. Because Aegis Wing is a free download, UNO remains the top-selling Xbox Live Arcade title.
Microsoft also launched earlier this month a casual gaming-centric Xbox 360 console with a focus on the XBL Arcade. The 100th game comes nearly two years after the Xbox 360 first went on sale in November 2005.
The Wii was able to reach the same milestone in around eight months with its Virtual Console platform, which allows users to purchase vintage games from legacy console systems.
Both new titles will sell for around 400 Microsoft Points ($5), and will be available some time during the day tomorrow.
