Mountain View (CA) - Will Wright, of The Sims fame, has said that he is working on bringing his next big project, Spore, to Nintendo's motion sensitive-controlled console.
Will Wright has become known as the "God" of the "God games", a genre that allows users to manipulate life in a video game. The Sims continues to be the top-selling PC game franchise of all time.
Spore goes even further than The Sims did, allowing gamers to literally create their own universe along with their own species and land environments. Wright has previously mentioned development on console versions of the game but in an interview with Guardian Unlimited he specifically mentioned working on a Wii version.
"We're doing Spore on the Wii, and we did MySims. It takes significant re-thinking to work out how you're going to do it. PS3 and Xbox 360 are similar enough that you can basically use the same system for both," he said.
The game is currently slated for a 2008 release on the PC, with no word on when it will be available for any of the consoles.
