Seattle (WA) - US retailers have begun listing yet another version of the Xbox 360, a special low-cost bundle for casual gamers.
Amazon and Toys R Us both list the Xbox 360 Arcade bundle at around $280, the current list price for the Core version of the console. In addition to the console, customers will receive a wireless controller, five Xbox Live Arcade games, and a memory card. The Core version of the Xbox 360 does not include a hard drive.
The package comes just in time for the holiday season, where Microsoft is hoping to catch a big chunk of casual gamers. Several casual titles including an exclusive Scene It game will be heading out on the console in the next couple months.
The new Arcade bundle complements the existing Xbox 360 consoles including the Core, Pro, Elite, and Halo 3 editions, all of which are still believed to be in production.
