Shrek the Third HD DVD dated, detailed
Hollywood (CA) - The biggest animated feature film of the year is coming to high-def, and thanks to a recently minted exclusivity agreement with Dreamworks, it will be available only on HD DVD.
Shrek the Third, the top-grossing animated film of the year, will come out on HD DVD November 13. That is the same day-and-date release as the standard definition DVD debut.
Dreamworks says it will have numerous exclusive features to the HD DVD version, including a picture-in-picture commentary, deleted scene pitches, and Web-enabled access to future content.
Dreamworks is owned by Paramount Pictures, which announced an exclusive partnership with HD DVD, cutting out Blu-ray from its current high-def plans.
