Foster City (CA) - Sony has pulled three PlayStation One classics from the PS3 online "Playstation Store" after it determined there were technical flaws that prevented the games from being run properly.
Crash Bandicoot 2, Spyro 2, and MediEvil have all been shelved while Sony tries to fix emulation issues. "This investigation is highly technical and requires some time to work through," wrote Sony in an official response to a message board discussion on Playstation.com
Customers who purchased the affected games will be receiving a message from Sony within the next 10 days, according to the same message board post. It also says the removal of Crash Bandicoot was mainly precautionary, adding that the title should be available for download again soon.
However, problems with Spyro 2 and MediEvil are still under investigation. Sony has not commented on when these titles will be fixed.
