PS3 sales double as Nintendo falls in Japan

  • Tokyo (Japan) - Sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 have doubled in Japan, with data from Media Create showing that the console has shifted 28,829 units for the week ended July 29, compared to just over 12,000 for the previous week.

    Sales of Nintendo's DS and Wii have dropped for the same period, although the consoles continue to record strong numbers with over 150,000 units and 77,000 units, respectively.
