Rockstar's Bully to fight its way to Wii, Xbox 360
New York (NY) - After a round of success of the PS2 and Xbox, a new Bully game is heading to the Wii and Xbox 360.
Bully: Scholarship Edition takes place at the same locale, in Bullworth Academy, following the trials and tribulations of a 15-year-old adolescent.
Rockstar says the new title will retain the "deep gameplay" seen in the PS2 exclusive release of Bully, and will have "additional new content" as well. With the Playstation brand out of the running for the new edition, it's unclear if this is a true sequel to the original title or just a retooled version for the Microsoft and Nintendo consoles.
The original Bully title was also slated for the Xbox but was canceled, assumedly because it was a dying format and would not generate enough interest for the October 2006 release.
The first game was also mired in controversy, bringing activist lawyer Jack Thompson calling for a ban on the title because of violent themes peppered throughout the story.
Bully: Scholarship Edition will be available this winter.
