New York (NY) - The surprise Xbox 360 hit Table Tennis is now on its way to a more interactive experience on the Wii.
Rockstar, the company behind games like Grand Theft Auto and the recently banned Manhunt 2, shocked gamers last year with its introduction of a very tame ping pong title.
The game became one of the most talked about Xbox 360 games of last year's summer season. Rockstar has now decided to break away from the 360 exclusivity and bring the game to the Nintendo Wii.
"By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down," said Rockstar founder and executive producer Sam House.
The game was hailed for its precision physics and pick-up-and-play functionality, and the inclusion of everything from sponsors to professional players to make it a realistic tournament environment.
Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis will be available for the Wii some time this fall.
