Sony apologizes for dead goat exhibit
Athens (Greece) - Some people think Sony’s dead goat head exhibit at a recent press event in Athens may have gone too far. Twenty journalists were invited to a party honoring the successful launch of its God of War II game for the PlayStation 2 console. The party had a Greco-Roman theme and featured a dead goat along with its severed head.
A few days ago, the Daily Mail newspaper erroneously reported that the goat was slaughtered at the party and that attendees ate the goat’s entrails. Sony responded to the article by saying the reporter wasn’t even at the party and that the goat had already been killed at the local butcher.
Sony has issued a statement which apologizes for the goat and vows to launch an internal inquiry to make sure it does not happen again.
