Microsoft re-releases old games at a lower price

  • Microsoft is re-releasing older, popular games at a lower price. The so-called "Platinum line" of games will be phased in over the next year and will vary depending on region. Rounding out the American batch are four games, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Microsoft will release different games for the Europe, Asia, Latin America, Japan and Australia regions. Games for the next batch will be announced in the spring of 2007.

Regular Xbox 360 games often sell for $60 each; the Platinum line will retail for $30.
