The Latest Superhero Movie Rumors: Justice League and Doctor Strange

There’s a lot going on in the world of superheroes, and in the next two years we will have Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2, Ant-Man, the Daredevil Netflix series, the Fox Gotham series, Batman Vs Superman, and much more. Now several interesting rumors have hit the net that may be true, or they could be complete bullsh*t, so let’s take a look at the reports and see if we can shift the nonsense from the possible truth.

We know that Wonder Woman will be in Batman Vs Superman, and now Cinema Blend reports that a Justice League movie could be shot at the same time. You get the impression that Batman Vs Superman is setting up a Justice League movie in the future, and if this current rumor is true, the Justice League movie would be coming out in 2016.

According to Latino Review, who first floated this rumor, Batman Vs Superman will end with “an insane cliffhanger / teaser that leads right into Justice League,” and that Warner Brothers wants to “be able to deliver the second film within a year to strike while the iron is hot.”

Another rumor that hit Collider is that a Doctor Strange movie could be coming together, possibly with Johnny Depp in the lead. Both of these reports are clearly stated as rumors, and again, whenever we report rumors, they should be treated as such. This speculation came from Latino Review as well.

Doctor Strange is reportedly being considered to start a third phase of Marvel films, which will happen after Avengers 2 in 2015. Previous reports claim that Marvel would like Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Doc Strange, and while Levitt will reportedly be starring in the big screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, there should be plenty of time for him to play Doctor Strange two years or so down the road.

Again, these are rumors, we have no idea how much validity they have, if any at all. It would indeed be interesting if any of this is true, but we won’t know anything for sure for a while, so whether any of this is bullsh*t or not, your guess is as good as ours.
