Will Rick Moranis Change His Mind on Ghostbusters 3?

Posted by David Konow

It’s just one day into the new year, and there’s already a Ghostbusters 3 news item. We wonder if this movie is ever going to get made, but there’s certainly been a lot that’s been written about Dan Aykroyd’s attempt to make a third ‘Busters film.

As we’e previously reported on TGD, Bill Murray has rebuffed a number of attempts to star in ‘Busters 3, and Rick Moranis is reportedly retired. Or is he? Moviefone recently asked Moranis about potentially coming back to Ghostbusters 3, and he said, “I need a little bit more information.”

As Moranis further explained, “I don’t say no to anything until everything is presented to me. ‘What is it? Is it happening? Is there a script? What’s the part? Who else is in it?’” If he’s going to return to Ghostbusters, the movie “has got to be good. I’m not interested in doing anything I’ve already done, and I thought the second one was a disappointment. But I guess I’m interested in where that guy is now. I sort of see him as being Bernie Madoff’s cellmate in jail.”

So there you have it. It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about Ghostbusters 3, but we’re not surprised new reports keep surfacing about it. Could we finally see Ghostbusters 3 in the theaters some time in the future? Your guess is as good as ours.
