Since we’re getting closer to the end of the year, we’re certain the Star Wars rumors will keep coming fast and furious, because it’s also getting closer to the point where the movie will have to start shooting. Here’s the latest tid-bits have to do with the movie’s title, or should we say subtitle.According to Giant Freakin Robot and Latino Review, the subtitle for the next Star Wars movie could be either Rise of the Jedi, or Return of the Sith. As Freakin Robot feels, “The first suggests a natural progression from Episode VI, while the other seems somewhat clunky.”
And as Star Wars fans know, this hasn’t been the first time there’s been fiddling with a title. Return of the Jedi was originally called Revenge of the Jedi, I even remember seeing trailers for it, but it was later change to Return because Jedis don’t believe in revenge. (The Revenge of the Jedi advance posters are nice collector’s items today.) We’re not in charge here, but for our two cents, we like Rise of the Jedi best as well.
Michael B. Jordan from Chronicle has confirmed to Robot that he has auditioned for a role, and added that “everybody” has been auditioning. Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) is another actor who confirmed she auditioned, and let’s face it, what actor would turn down the opportunity to be in the next Star Wars movie? (Maybe Daniel Day-Lewis, but he’s very picky…)
In addition, Robot also reports “there are rumors that Disney might announce something big about Star Wars: Episode VII” very soon. This “something big” may be the first teaser trailer, which may play before the next Captain America movie in April. There’s also speculation the trailer should have the movie’s release date, which may or may not be November 11, 2015. Stay tuned…
