Video: Iben's Android GamePad supports 8 emulators

Iben's Android-powered GamePad first tipped up earlier this month, albeit without a final spec or pricing list.

However, CNX Software has managed to obtain additional details about the device, namely that there will be three iterations of Iben's GamePad: L1-B (powered by an AllWinner A20 SoC), L1-C (A30 SoC) and the Transformer L2 (A30 SoC), which can also be used as a regular tablet, sans the gamepad.

Specs for the GamePad include a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB flash + microSD slot (storage), 7″ touch screen (5pts), IPS display (1280×800), HDMI (out), 2.0MP front camera, 5.0MP rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G WCDMA and 1x micro USB port.

And last, but certainly not least, the Android 4.1 device supports up to 8 emulators for classic gaming, including FC/NES, SFC/SNES, MD/Genesis, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1 and PSP.

Oh, and yes, Iben's GamePad offers gamers a “Virtual Key Mapping” function for each title. Pricing for individual units has yet to be announced, with Iben (thus far) only publishing information for bulk buys. However, it is probably safe to assume that the various iterations of the GamePad will weigh in somewhere between $150-$225.
