Video: The origins of Doctor Who’s Clara

The BBC has posted a trailer teasing everybody’s favorite doctor, who is slated to return in the latter half of season seven on March 30th.

Aside from the usual drama and action, it appears as if the season will focus on Doctor Who’s latest companion, Clara, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.

Apparently, Matt Smith feels that Clara may be the only mystery worth solving anymore, which sounds somewhat intriguing, especially for those obsessed with her origin story.

As TG Dailypreviously reported, the first new episode of Doctor Who since last year’s holiday special will air later this month. The Bells of St. John, written by showrunner Steven Moffatt, will see the Doctor face off against a brand new villain while he gets to know his brand new companion.

After picking up the modern incarnation of the mysterious Clara, The Doctor will discover a strange signal in the London wi-fi, which leads him to the Spoonheads, whom he must battle against the backdrop of London’s most famous landmarks.

In addition, filming of the 50th Anniversary special – which will be in 3D and released in theaters – is slated to kick off in the spring so it can air after the end of the season.
