Ridley Scott teases full Prometheus trailer

More may be less in some instances, but certainly not when it comes to Ridley Scott’s hotly anticipated sci-fi thriller Prometheus.

Although Scott himself is debuting the new trailer on March 17th in Anaheim, California followed by a Q&A session with Damon Lindelof, the director has posted a short clip teasing the upcoming trailer.

While the 22-second clip features only a few seconds of fresh footage, I know there are hundreds of thousands of fans (myself included) out there who eagerly await any new images or clips from the film.

Yes, I admit that releasing a trailer of a trailer may be kind of silly, but I’m more than willing to give Ridley Scott plenty of room to market the film the way he sees fit.

It’s been a long time since we were wowed by Alien and Blade Runner, but hey, at least those films were done right. Here’s top hoping Prometheus will be just as legendary.

Prometheus, which explores its own mythology and is not directly linked to Alien, will be in theaters on June 8, 2012 via 20th Century Fox.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including the sultry Noomi Rapace (from the original Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba.

Prometheus is directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts, along with Damon Lindelof.
