Buying tickets for Hunger Games and Dark Knight

The two most anticipated movies of the year are undoubtedly Hunger Games and Dark Knight. Luckily, you can already order tickets for the latter film.

True, I don’t think anyone is lining up for either film yet (which will undoubtedly happen later), but it will be interesting to see how many tickets sell in advance, and how far in advance people will line up.

As Collider reports, “It’s a good time to start planning ahead for those midnight showings we’re already looking forward to.”

Indeed, if you just have to catch the very first showing of Dark Knight, Fandango is selling IMAX tickets at AMC Loews Metreon 16 in San Francisco, AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 in New York, and AMC CityWalk Stadium 19 in L.A.

Meanwhile, tickets for The Hunger Games are slated to go on sale February 22, a month before the film’s long-awaited release on March 23. But don’t worry if you haven’t gotten your tickets already, there’s still plenty of time for both movies. We also don’t recommend lining up for a few months either, you should still be able to get a good seat on opening day.

At the same time, we know what it’s like to watch an incredible movie on opening night after months and months of waiting. Like going to see your favorite band, once the lights go down and the flick starts, it can be incredibly exciting to finally see it, and share the experience with a room full of people who’ve also been waiting forever.

The Dark Knight in IMAX should also be something else because as Collider reports, it’s going to have about 40 to 50 minutes of IMAX-specific footage in it.
