Learn how to be a Jedi Knight with Microsoft's Kinect
For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Of course, that was long before the dark times, before the Emperor rose to power along with his acolyte, the Dark Lord of the Sith.
Yes, all of this may have happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
Luckily, Microsoft will be releasing a Kinect Star Wars game in time for next year's holiday season, or Christmas 2011.
"I think you could just easily imagine being a Jedi and using Kinect to make you feel you're part of a Star Wars experience, building yourself up into a Jedi," Kinect creative director Kudo Tsunoda told the BBC.
"I've [personally] seen a bunch of the game and it's [really] super compelling."
I don't know about you, but I certainly plan on brushing up on my lightsaber feinting skills before following old Obi-Wan on some damn fool idealistic crusade.
Because as we all know, the lightsaber is the prized weapon of a Jedi knight.
Of course, it's not as clumsy or as random as a blaster, but rather, an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
And it definitely comes in useful, especially in places like Mos Eisley spaceport - where you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
