Nintendo has debuted its 3DS handheld console at E3 2010. As expected, the revolutionary device allows gamers to play 3D titles without glasses.

The 3DS also features a 3.5-inch top widescreen display, along with a smaller, bottom touch-screen.

In addition, the device boasts a 3D depth slider, motion/gyro sensors and three cameras/lenses which enable users to shoot 2D/3D stills and video.

According to Nintendo, the handheld console is fully capable of downloading and seamlessly rendering 3D movies from various Hollywood studios, including Disney, Dreamworks and Warner Bros.

The 3DS has already been endorsed by a number of third-party heavyweights, such as Sega, Activision (DJ Hero), Konami (Metal Gear Solid), THQ, Square Enix (Kingdom Hearts) and Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed).

Meanwhile, EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich told TG Daily that Nintendo's "innate ability" to launch truly original hardware was "reflective" in its 3DS handheld device.

"Nintendo could have imitated features already present and standard among portable devices such as the iPhone and iPad; however, by sticking to the strategy that has served them well over the last twenty years, Nintendo has created another original gaming experience no competitor can replicate in today's market."
