Rockstar not ruling out GTA V for PC and Wii U
Last month, Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V would be officially rolling out in the Spring of 2013 for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers, effectively leaving PC gamers and Wii U fans out in the cold.
Despite the fact that only PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game were announced, Rockstar recently confirmed that versions of GTA V for the PC and Wii U are "up for consideration."
"Everything else is up for consideration. That's [really] all I can give you," Rockstar VP Dan Houser noted.
"The main thing is we are not... We are a third-party publisher. We're not Nintendo, we're not Sony, we're not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there's the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.
"If that's on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be. I think that's the fun in what we do. We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don't make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff," Houser added.
Interestingly, more and more game developers are turning a cold shoulder to the PC as a gaming platform -despite the fact that there are legions of loyal PC gamers around the world. Nevertheless, let's hope GTA V makes it to the PC - even if it is a quintessential console franchise.
