New York City recently wrapped up official celebrations of the upcoming Final Fantasy XII game. The city's tourism organization declared October 11th, 2006 to be Final Fantasy XII day and invited fans to their Times Square offices for a party and a question and answer session with Final Fantasy producers.
The game's executive producer Akitoshi Kawazu and Square Enix President Daishiro Okada answered questions and then showed a game trailer to about a hundred people.
The Final Fantasy franchise has been the defining game for the PlayStation consoles, selling millions of copies and spawning an almost cult following of costume wearers and fan websites. The game is well-known for its cinematic quality computer graphic cut-scenes and excellent sound.
Finaly Fantasy XII will be available on October 31st for $50. A collector's edition which includes a DVD filled with bonus content will sell for $60.
