COD: Black Ops II limited edition gets detailed

Activision has officially detailed its special edition lineup of Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

As you may recall, we recently talked about the world premiere of the game’s trailer back in May.  From what I can tell, the coolest version of the game is the special $180 Care Package edition slated for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This special edition of the video game is boxed in a replica of the in-game care package boxes that drop from the sky.

Inside the care package box is an actual remote-controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire quadcopter drone and wireless remote. Other than the awesome remote-controlled toy, the special edition ships with special DLCs – including a pair of extra maps dubbed Nuketown Zombies and Nuketown 2025, respectively.

The special edition version also includes exclusive weapon camouflage, a pair of Player Card backgrounds, and a copy of the soundtrack. PS3 owners also get exclusive dynamic themes with Xbox 360 buyers getting XBL Zombie avatars and a Claw prop. The Care Package addition also features an art book and a pair of Challenge points.

If you don’t want to spend that much cash, the Hardened Edition for the Xbox and PS3 is available for $79.99. It includes both of the above- mentioned bonus maps, a dual-sided and SteelBook with exclusive artwork, the pair of Challenge coins, special weapon camo, a pair of Player Card Backgrounds, and basically everything else from the Care Package edition minus the special box and flying remote-controlled toy.

Finally, a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will be available for computer gamers for $79.99 – offering all of the previously mentioned digital goods that aren’t console specific. The PC version does include a full free download of Call of Duty: World at War. Whatever version of the game you end up with, this is going to be one of the best video games of the year.
