It had been four years since Guillermo Del Toro made Hellboy II: The Golden Army, but he finally came back to the big screen this summer with Pacific Rim. Del Toro’s already got another movie he’ll be shooting next year, Crimson Peak, which is a ghost story, and his long in the works vampire series, The Strain, just got the green light from the FX network.
It’s hard to imagine any movie costing as much as Avatar, which at one point was the most expensive movie ever made. There have been some intriguing rumors as to how much Avatar actually could have cost, but the official number is $237 million.
Even though the Academy Awards won’t be held until March 2, there’s already plenty of Oscar pundits trying to predict who could win. And one performance has already brought up some interesting questions because in the case of Scarlett Johansson in Her, she’s never seen, and only heard.
Marvel are the current big daddies of superheroes, but DC would really love to catch up. Batman may be the biggest superheroes in the world, but Marvel’s had the most success at the movies, and they’re also trying to take over television with SHIELD and the upcoming Netlfix series.

Okay, so Almost Human may not be the most original idea for a sci-fi show, but it’s gotten pretty good reviews, and it looks like it’s gotten off to a pretty good start in the ratings. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, in this writer’s humble opinion Kiss absolutely deserve to be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
