Bethesda still clueless on PS3 Skyrim Dawnguard

Bethesda has taken to Twitter to inform users that it still has no update for the PS3.We’re talking of course about the release of the Dawnguard downloadable content pack, which has been out for the Xbox 360 for more than four months but has yet to be made available for the Sony console.

On Friday, Bethesda PR representative Pete Hines confirmed, “I don’t have a date or a guess at a date” for when the PS3 update will be available.

The expansion file gives players, among other things, the ability to join a vampire hunting mission with a group called Dawnguard, or they can become a vampire and be a part of the uprising instead.

If you become a vampire you earn a handful of new powers such as the ability to turn into a cloud of bats, as well as an attack that suspends your enemies in mid air.

The Dawnguard expansion pack is chock full of sweet, fresh digital content, providing up to 20 hours of gameplay.

In late August, Bethesda said that it was working hard on making the update available to players. “We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we’re working hard to deliver the content you guys want,” the company said at the time.

Since then, however, Bethesda has seemed to be a bit less sympathetic. It is possible that Dawnguard will never actually come out for PS3. For now, though, it’s still on the table.
