Hasbro wants Transformers 4

Hasbro, which owns hundreds of toy and game licenses, is in talks to produce several more films based on various franchises, including Transformers 4.

"We continue to actively develop a number of additional Hasbro films with great partners and writers," Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner confirmed after giving the news about Transformers.

"[This] includes Micronauts, Ouija, Candy Land, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue, and Monopoly."

If they do make a Clue film, it would be interesting to see how it compares to the 80’s movie based on the property, but Transformers is the big news, especially considering that the Director of the first three Transformers films, Michael Bay, has stated on several occasions that he has no plans to make a fourth film.

Think about it: he built his trilogy, and  wants to move on to direct something with lower production values.

Despite Bay's adamance, Goldner claims that Hasbro is in discussions with Bay to helm the film, likely because the first three films were such blockbusting successes, with the third film, Dark of the Moon making more than $1.1 billion globally.

As for the other films from Hasbro, Ouiji was recently cancelled before production could begin, Monopoly, Risk, and Clue are all in the writing stage, and Micronaughts - the toys are a line of small robots previously only available in Japan - is in pre-production with the hope that J.J. Abrams will come on to direct.
