Nintendo started selling its DSi LL over the weekend in the Akihabara district of Tokyo. The units come in white, red and brown, and with two touch pens.
The LL in the name means extra large and comes with three titles already installed - one is a dictionary, the other two are humanity and science related.
Japanese web site famitsu.com has pictures of the lines that formed outside the stores selling the DSi LL. As you can see from the pictures, here, most people appeared to be youngsters rather than oldsters.
The LL has an extended battery life of up to 17 hours and in Japan costs 20,000 yen - that's around $220 or so.
