Taipei (Taiwan) - DigiTimes is citing "market sources" in an article explaining that 2009 may change the face of ordering computer components.



In light of the global economic downturn, PC Board (PCB) makers are expected to have rush orders with two-week turnarounds, rather than the normal cycle of orders made well in advance for on-time delivery up to several months later as sales trends continue throughout each year.

PCB makers produce the mainboard which supports all add-on components, such as CPUs, memory, input devices and jacks, along with special circuitry for wireless communications, etc.

As a result of the rush order climate, PCB makers are looking to improve yields and better manage their production lines.
