Las Vegas (NV) - Logitech expands its Harmony remote control line with a new flagship model: The 1100 integrates a 3.5” touch screen and can be yours for $500.

Not all of us would spend $500 on a remote (heck, my 32” LCD TV cost less!), but if you have just sunk a few thousand dollars into a new TV and home entertainment system, a stylish remote may be just what you want to complete your media room experience.

Logitech’s new Harmony 1100 is about as exotic it can get in this product category, with a 3.5” touchscreen and a customizable interface. It includes infrared and RF capability and, according to the manufacturer, supports more than 225,000 devices from 5000 brands.

The almost square shape of the Harmony 1100 is a matter of taste and whether it is worth $500 or not depends on your needs and budget. But we have to admit that the device looks and feels expensive and is certainly a stylish expansion for premium entertainment centers.
