Today, Virgin America becomes the latest airline to offer in-flight wireless Internet access via a network called Gogo. Virgin is currently testing the service on a single A320 airbus aircraft, which will operate during the week-long test. If successful, Virgin plans to expand the service to 24 aircraft by mid-2009. The service costs $9.95 to $12.95 per flight depending on length of the flight's route. This is the largest planned resurgence of in-flight wireless Internet service since 2006.
