Chicago (IL) – What would you do if you discovered your spouse is emailing nude photos of his better parts using his iPhone? You turn to the Apple Discussion forum and share your case with the world, of course. One such case has been entertaining Apple users this week. Susan found her husband off track by looking at the content on his cellphone. When she saw a revealing photo in the Sent folder of his iPhone, Susan confronted her husband with the discovery.

Not that he denied the photo, he admitted to that immediately, as it appears. But the explanation he offered is rather interesting: He blamed the existence of the picture on a bug in Apple's handset. Susan's husband told her that the photo ended up in the Sent folder of the iPhone's Mail application because of a glitch in the handset software. Moreover, he said folks at the Apple Store confirmed the existence of the bug. The handset apparently picks up a random photo from your photo library, attaches it to an email message that then stores in the Sent Items folder of the Mail application, although the message is never sent. At least that is what he claimed.

Since Susan is not a geek, she turned to the crowd on Apple's Discussion forum. Here's what she wrote.

"Please help! I took my husband's i-phone and found a raunchy picture of him attached to an e-mail to a woman in his sent e-mail file (a Yahoo account). When I approached him about this (I think that he is cheating on me) he admitted that he took the picture but says that he never sent it to anyone. He claims that he went to the Genius Bar at the local Apple store and they told him that it is an i-phone glitch:  that photos sometimes automatically attach themselves to an e-mail address and appear in the sent folder, even though no e-mail was ever sent. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? The future of my marriage depends on this answer!"

She also provided a description of the problematic image of her husband. She described the image as "a close-up shot of him pleasuring himself taken at the exact moment of maximum pleasure." She also tells it was such a good shot that she wondered "if he actually practiced it a few times before getting it right." Nevertheless, Susan wanted to remain open to the possibility that it was all "some big mistake."

This is where the fun part begins. A couple of forum users tried to explain Susan that she is most likely the subject of cheating, but she refused such explanation on the grounds of the possibility a "technical glitch." Then, a user who goes under the nickname "erikislame" wrote that exactly the same thing happened to him and his colleagues and another user actually supported erikislame with his own claim that the same iPhone glitch caused his own images sent to his grandma. Forum users eventually turned Susan's attention to the fact that both forum users are actually phantom accounts of her husband specifically created to reply to her forum post.

That's when Susan realized her marriage may not be a fairy tale with a happy-ending after all. She finally admitted it is to call a lawyer. "Add that picture to the late night phone calls and some other miscellaneous texts and e-mails that I found ... and this is not the first woman ... and let's just say that my atty is working on the divorce complaint.”
