the guy is quoting unit sales figures, this data is factual and not an opinion.

Also, the overall tone of the article is that AMD/ATI, which had fallen from the top ten in discreet video car unit number sales worldwide, is now in fact putting out products that rank in the top ten.

In other words, ATI has returned to compete against nVidia. Hardly a pro nVidia/Wintel article, in that light.

Sales and unit numbers are a reflection of both marketing and consumer opinion and DO NOT LIE.

You can rip wolfgang to little shreds and it will not change the fact that AMD/ATI has failed to put out competitive products against nVidia/Intel for quite a few quarters now. I personally remember when intel was the only CPU vendor, when a box with 166mghz cpu set you back two grand... I support AMD, always have, and always will... but c2d has been stomping athlon, and is stomping phenom. Its a crying fricken shame, my opinion... wish the boys down in texas would develop a proper response to thses products, but oh well.

I know this industry wont ever allow things to go back to a single CPU vendor. I dont think AMD will be allowed to fail, but even if they did, someone like samsung or IBM would develop a competitor for intel. Nobody wants a single vendor in that part of this market, they historically make out like bandits when that happens. I credit AMD for the existence of the $500 desktop, so I am no intel fanboy. Facts are facts, in sales numbers, tho.

I recently bough MSI's OC 9800GT(upgraded from a 7900GTX) and its amazing. only problem is some valve games are telling me to turn off AA, but I'm guessing it's because my rig only has 1GB after my other stick got fried.

How true is this sale's chart?

I recently upgrade bought ASUS HD4670 (upgrade from ASUS OC 8500GT) and it is superb amazing. From what i read, HD4670 performs better than any 8500GT/8600GT/9600GSO around market.

No problem occur so far, and I satisfy with the performance/price of my HD4670.

I feel weird that HD4670 is not in the chart.
