Cruz: A new multipane browser for Macs

Chicago (IL) – If you enjoy trying out new software occasionally and Apple users who are not completely happy with Safari could check out a brand new option in the browser market: Mac users with Leopard on their systems may want to check out Cruz.

Designed by Todd Ditchendorf, the creator of the app browser Fluid, this browser is not only refreshingly innovative, but user friendly and feature filled. Cruz allows users to quickly and simply set up multiple panes in their browser utilizing sophisticated controls, among many other things such as a full-screen mode, and setting any web application as a sidebar.

Side by side browsing is a great feature, especially on widescreen displays, as it allows the user to compare multiple web pages at a time, or drag and drop content from one page to another. You can’t however, import your old bookmarks and settings from another browser - which would take a while for some people, and for me is almost necessary.

My take: Cruz is fun to use and something I utilize in some instances, regardless of its shortcomings.
