Unless this was designed by a machine... its not "unbreakable". Everything is breakable, it may not be easy, but its not undo-able. Everytime someone tries to claim it can't be done someone smarter proves them wrong. It's only a matter of time before it's done.

Even if designed by a machine, it's breakable.

The security from human designed vs machine designed is easily broken down into two categories:

a) the human might overlook an already known problem, that the machine intrinsically looks for and would catch

b) the machine only knows of the rules it's given and can't "think outside of the box" that typically needs to a successful hack.

Just look at the recent fiber hack against quantum encryption that was in the tech news this week :).

Didn't some norwegian university kid just break quantum encryption the other day?

to run an article about "unbreakable" quantum encryption after this very site ran an article about someone breaking QE just 7 days ago!

I sent the BBC a copy of the article about the hack. The author probably shouldn't be blamed - the story was only a few days before, in a slightly obscure field, and he probably just didn't run across it. That or he had to submit his own article before the other story broke.

For the love of mike! Do we have to tack an "e" on to everything these days? Right there after the summary of the article.
