Pleasanton (CA) - The Pontiac Solstice concept car doesn't have any windshield wipers heck it doesn't even have the windshield, but it looks great in person. Sporting a ruby red body the SD-290 racing concept car is a highly modified version of the regular Pontiac Solstice production model. Basically Pontiac stripped off the top of the car leaving just a small windscreen to protect the driver-side.
The car is powered by respectable 290 hp, 2.0 L Ecotec engine and a five speed manual transmission A small rearview mirror sticks out just to the front right of the driver and the passenger side has been covered over for better air flow. Besides who needs passengers anyways?
This concept car was introduced at last year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The fictional Autobot Jazz from the Transformer movie converts himself into the regular version of the Solstice.
