Denver (CO) – The CEDIA show in Denver Colorado has become a pre-CES show of sorts with many home electronics companies showing off their latest gadgets.  So far attendees have been wowed by a 400-disc Blu-ray changer from Sony and a JVC 4K projector that pumps out 3500 lumens worth of video.  As usual, no prices were announced, but for these things if you have to ask, then you probably can’t afford it.

The fine folks at Engadget have one of the first pictures of the Sony “Mega Changer” which sports a 400-disc capacity of Blu-ray and regular DVD discs.  Available in early 2009, this monster player would take nearly $10,000 to fill (assuming an average price of $25 per disc).  You can see pictures of the player here.

But having a player is one thing, showing off the video is another story.  JVC has their upcoming 4K projector which uses a high power 824-watt Xenon lamp.  The JVC DLA-SH4K projector pumps out 3500 lumens worth of light and if that isn’t enough, you can stack two units for double the power.  The SH4K’s resolution is four times that of most traditional projectors at 4096 by 2400 pixels.

Another impressive projector is the Chi Lin LED-lit 1080p projector which uses the Texas Instrument DLP chipset.  Unlike projectors using expensive, and short-lived, bulbs, this one uses liquid-cooled LEDs which last for 50,000 hours and have a 100,000 to 1 contrast ratio.  The folks at Gizmodo have decent pictures of this tasty projector.
