Honda is apparently close to be releasing a new version of its Honda Insight, a two-door hybrid vehicle produced between 2000 and 2006 and still a favorite among hyper-milers. When introduced the Insight was rated at a gas efficiency of 70 MPG.

After a four-year hiatus, it seems Honda is ready to unleash a new generation of the Insight, this time in a four-door shape and a starting price of about $19,000. The Insight, which will be quipped with nickel-metal-hydride batteries, should achieve a MPG rating north of 50 MPG, as the European rating is 62 MPG.
