Chicago (IL) - Spy pictures and a video of what appears to be one of the most anticipated American cars in decades have been published on the Internet. As far as we can tell from the video, it is a handsome compact car that can keep all the promises GM has made – at least as far as it looks are concerned. AutoblogGreen was the first site that posted pictures of a mysterious blue car two-door which the site believed could be Chevrolet’s electric car, the 2011 Volt. At least judging by the video, the Volt will be about the size of Chevrolet’s Cobalt compact or a Ford Focus hatchback. As most prototypes, this Volt is dressed up with not-so-mass-production-like big wheels, fancy lights and a roof.
Whether this was an intentional or unintentional leak, this video should support GM’s claims that the development of the Volt is making good progress.
