Beijing (China) – China now has more Internet surfers than the United States, according to the China Internet Network Information Center. The center says 253 million people now regularly surf the web which is a 56% increase from a year ago. However, penetration remains low as just 19.1% of the population uses the net.
In comparison, the United States has an estimated 223.1 million Internet users with 71% of the population using the net. Read more … Associated Press via Google
