Bennett (CO) – Escaped spammer Edward Davidson was found dead, along with the bodies of his wife and three-year-old daughter.  Police believe Davidson tried to kill the entire family after he escaped from a minimum security correctional facility near Denver Colorado.  A teenage girl was also shot, but survived and fortunately the couple’s infant son wasn’t harmed.

On Sunday, Davidson, with the help of his wife, fled from the facility in an SUV.  They then drove to a Denver suburb where police say Davidson committed the murder-suicide.  He had been serving a 21-month sentence for sending SPAM emails, tax evasion and criminal forfeiture.  He was also supposed to pay $714,139 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service.

The surviving teenager was shot in the neck, but was able to run to a nearby house and call for help.  An 8-month-old boy was found in the car, unharmed.

Between 2003 and 2005, Davidson sent thousands of spam emails advertising various products and services.  He became immensely wealthy and court documents show he deposited upwards of $3.5 million into his bank accounts during that time.

U.S. Attorney Troy Eid says the situation is a nightmare and called Davidson a “coward”.

disturbing and very sad to end lives in such tragic way. Why couldn't he serve 21 months(less than 2 years!), pay fines and then start a new life? His wife might/not be accomplice but sure the 3 year old daughter wasn't. Why in the world did he kill his own daughter? How could he be so inhuman?

OUCH!!!(lol)...Johnny, I would tell you just KNOW you are so 'WRONG' on SO MANY counts saying that...if I could...just...stop...LAUGHING!!! TERRIBLE tragedy and horror, though. A real friggin' punk and a coward-killing the woman who helped him ESCAPE?!!???? WTF??? Spirit_Ed was right; just like so many of these white collar criminals who pay the fines, do the time and STILL have money left, this guy SURELY would have had a decent stash as well as an opportunity to even WRITE about his exploits and REALLY stick it to the government.

I will never understand it. Is a common reaction between desperate criminals. They delete his trace on earth. It must be a scary tought to be the trace of some of them.
