Hasbro sues Scrabulous makers PDF Print E-mail

New York (NY) – Hasbro, the owners of Scrabble, have sued Facebook and the makers of Scrabulous for copyright infringement.  The toy maker alleges that the Scrabulous game is a direct knock-off of its Scrabble and wants it removed from Facebook.  Scrabulous has millions of players and more than half-a-million people log into the game each day.  Hasbro recently licensed Scrabble to Electronic Arts and the companies have been releasing Scrabble-licensed games in recent weeks.
