Los Angeles (CA) – Online classified ad giant Craigslist has been ordered by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to reveal an Oscar ticket seller’s identity.  Back in February, “Daniel” posted up a Craigslist ad selling two tickets to the Academy Awards for $2500 each.  The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences sued Craigslist for the identity of the seller because reselling of the tickets is against the rules because of security issues – after all movie stars, directors and even politicians attend the annual Academy Awards.

Craigslist representatives didn’t show up to the hearing in Los Angeles and the company must now reveal the login information and IP address of the seller.
