Consider for a moment the number of distractions you already suffer from on the road. Cell phones, GPS screens, rear view back up cameras. How would you like all of those in your rear-view mirror? That's the idea behind the Azentek SmartMirror, which is reportedly making its way to American retailers next month.

The SmartMirror looks somewhat at first glance like your typical rear-view mirror found in cars on the road. It ends there though as this Windows CE powered GPS device makes use of Navigon Mobile Navigator software, speaking street names via text to speech, providing 2D or 3D maps and offering Zagat ratings and reviews.

Interaction is handled through the mirror's four-inch touchscreen. You'll also find the SmartMirror offering Bluetooth support, including hands-free calling, an integrated speaker, display of incoming caller ID and manual/auto call answering. To top all of this off, two video inputs are setup with rear view cameras in mind. That would seem the most logical of all these features to offer in a rear-view mirror, but it doesn't seem to have stopped the manufacturer from going all out on features.
