It's about time someone slap Comcast for the crap they've been pulling. I pray to god I never move to an area where they are the main internet provider.

at least Comcast isn't to bad where I live. I have never been restricted from doing anything on the internet and they actually update the speeds every year or so. In 2004 when I got comcast the speeds was 3.0megs. Right now when I check SpeakEasy speed test I am getting 9.8 megs down and 1.5 megs up. Last time I remember getting the card in the mail that I was getting a speed increase was when it was going to 7 megs so they must have increased it again. Right now its 5:30 p.m and its usually the time I get the slowest speeds. Sometimes I can get as much as 12 megs late at night before I go to bed.

The upload speed is pretty bad and the price is pretty expensive I think.

Basic cable and the 3 meg package I got in 2004 cost $60/month together and so far they haven't raised the prices on us which is a good thing I suppose.

Considering my other alternatives are DSL from Quest or a bunch of small time wireless internet providers that are pretty expensive I think Comcast is one of the fastest providers in my area and prices are comparable(in most cases cheaper by $10/month) to anyone else with similar speeds.
