Scalpers selling free Bon Jovi concert tickets for thousands PDF Print E-mail

New York (NY) – Bon Jovi’s upcoming free concert in New York’s Central Park won’t be free for some fans.  Scalpers have scooped up the free tickets and are now reselling them on eBay and Craigslist for hundreds, even thousands of dollars.  The tickets are stamped with “sale of this ticket is absolutely prohibited”, but this apparently doesn’t have any legal bite because it’s not illegal to resell most tickets in New York.

People stood in line for hours to score up to 2 free tickets to the July 12th concert.  Bon Jovi has called New York the “greatest city in the world” and says he’s simply giving back to the city that he loves.

Now how stupid or desperate do you have to be to spend hundreds of dollars on a free concert?
