It's generally a behavior associated with peoples under the influence of methamphetamine. Take that as you will, as I feel a adult has enough capability to make the decision as to what they are going to put into their bodies. Cases like this would be much rarer if the governments of the world gained control of the production and distribution of drugs, taxed the sales and provided free health care and treatment to those that find themselves in a position of needed such services due to their drug use.

It is a rather bold statement to associate theft with methamphetamine or any drug usage for that matter. Surely theft by its nature can be attributed to a variety of other socio economic variables such as poverty or plain greed. While drug use may be a contributing factor, to assume such is plainly misguided.While I can agree that better drug legislation, taxation and control can be brought about by legalising and monitoring certain drugs, I fail to see the relevance to this particular article.

At least in Kentucky, Indiana and Cincinnati, OH, most copper thieves that are caught (and featured in TV, radio or print media) are connected to meth in some fashion. Say what you want about bold statements, etc. Meth destroys lives, not just for those that use it, but also for the poor bastards who have their wiring, pipes and air conditioner condensers stolen.

Why else would people do this? As for drugs, as the son and grandon of alcoholics, brother of a former heroine addict , friend of coke heads, crack heads and burners, drugs hurt those that do them and those that are around them. I don't condemn those that do drugs, but be real about the conseqences.
