To celebrate the cloning of BioArts’ CEO “beloved family pet” the company announced yesterday that it will be holding an online auction to clone five dogs. The auction will be held from July 5 to July 9. Interested pet owners can register at www.bestfriendsagain.com for the auction.
If you are in fact planning on cloning your dog, plan to shell out lots of cash for the BioArts party. First day bidding will start at $100,000 and the initial bidding price will increase on each successive day.
BioArts also is offering to clone one dog for free and has asked interested people to complete an entry form, including a 500-word essay in English, explaining why they feel their dog deserves to be cloned.
BioArts International said that it has been granted the sole, worldwide license for the cloning of dogs, cats and endangered species. This exclusive license was granted by Start Licensing for cloning patents developed at the Roslin Institute for Dolly the sheep, the first successfully cloned animal.
