now I'd rather get a nice, fully featured notebook

I liked asus a lot around win95-win2000. Around that time you could ask yourself: invest some 50 dm - 100 dm ( = 25-50 $ ) or get stuck with some mobo which will bite you at some time ( won´t run with the ram, no bios updates etc. ). BUT today it´s like that: asus has become a so called premiumm supplier offering you lots and lots of cheap crap and overcharge you for it.

After saying that take a look here ( maybe tgdaily crew can get there hands on one of theit devices, a friend of mine has one and thinks it´s a ee killer ) and the the price differ.

If i look at the price range of asus ee:
it starts higher and a lot of goodies ( like always with asus nowadays ) are simply overpriced.

What i have to say to all these rippers: why not build a NB without the HD, the battery pack, the wifi, the BT and over a standard expansion for this stuff ? Answer: Cause then we a the producers cannot rip you off !
Many mods for the ee show that there is enough room for these expansions. For ram and HD upgrade you don´t even have to go lengths, apart from the fact, that you can throw away stuff afterwards cause ebay is broken for such things
