i agree with you that the lawsuit is a bit frivolous but please don't mock the death of that man. it was a tragedy what happened.

i mean for cases where people are resisting, police should be allowed to shoot them in the foot or hand or arm. atleast they won't get paralyzed or die, well maybe if your weak.

Have you ever tried to shoot a moving target in the hand? Do you really think it's that easy? Cops are trained to shoot people in the chest because it's the biggest target. They are also trained to shoot when death is an acceptable consequence. With tazers they are allowed to shoot pretty much anyone who pisses them off. Remember that poor woman who got tazered at a Best Buy because she left her credit card at the desk?

We can't implement tactical shooting because you will sue the police when you are wrongly arrested and get shot for your lack of cooperation with that false arrest. Or did you think that you were somehow exempt from arrest?

By the way there are other alternatives to deadly weapons. There is a very accurately fired and effective net that ensnares a suspect. It wraps up all the problems that police encounter.
