In a landmark deal with Apple, the company behind the currently built Fontainbleau resort will put an iMac in each of its 3889 rooms. According to Fontainbleau, the "innovative relationship" with Apple will "encourage personal expression" with guests. It's not a minor deal by any measure. Well, perhaps it is minor when compared to the construction cost of the new mega-resort - $2.9 billion. Fontainbleau plans to open next fall.

"Fontainbleau guests experience a new sensory landscape through an innovative relationship with Apple. The program includes intuitive and simple options for booking and pre-planning stays online and interactive programming throughout the resort. An iMac in every guest room inspires guests to share memories and encourages personal expression," says the official eye-catching brochure available on the Fontainbleau website.

The company hints that the relationship with Apple may extend to online booking and interactive content at the hotel. If true, it would extend Apple's footprint beyond its traditional professional, educational and recently popular consumer market segments. Apple’s only Vegas connections up to this announcement were two retail stores it operates in the heart of Sin City. AppleInsider recently said that the company plans to open a third Las Vegas store at Caesar's Palace.

And people go to Vegas to play on computers?

Plus most people know PC's so most will not know how to turn them on or use them in most cases even if they did deside to use them.

Are they also going to give leasons to all the people who are not familiar with the Apple OS. This was such a dumb move. They would have saved a lot of money and aggrivation by just putting in entry level laptops instead.

macs are actually easier to use, also there wont be any viruses on them from trying to download porn in the hotel room, which means they wont have to hire a lot of new people just to repair 100 computers a day

Are you people serious, we're not talking about blueberry crt monitors anymore, the new iMacs are very nice machines. In a resort that costs billions of dollars, they are obviously going for upscale style. That means not stocking the rooms with ugly computers with slow operating systems. The idea is premium: premium machine, premium OS.
